Rest assured that NDCC recommends a customized debt repayment solution based on your specific financial situation. Our step-by-step plan is designed to guide you out of your debt crisis. Step 1: Debt Review & Financial Counseling After calling our 800 number or filling in the request for a free confidential review, you will speak to one of our professional debt relief counselors. They will conduct a free confidential review by asking you questions about your income, expenses and debt. During the review, our counselors will work with you to analyze your household budget, answer questions about finances and advise you on keeping your payments up to date. The debt review and financial counseling session will give you an overall picture of how extensive your debt is, and is the first step toward allowing us to determine if you are qualified for a debt relief program. Step 2: PFA, Personal Financial Analysis The next step to a debt free future is to complete a Personal Financial Analysis (PFA). The Personal Financial Analysis begins with an examination of your income, expenses, liabilities and current status with your creditors. This provides information you can use to begin to take control of your debt and manage your finances. The results of the PFA will help us match you with a qualified financial service provider who will help you build financial stability and help you liquidate your debt. Step 3: Debt Relief Solution: Which Program is for You? Your debt amount and financial circumstances will determine what repayment program or debt relief solution you qualify for. NDCC may recommend debt management, debt settlement, or Additional Services including bankruptcy, reverse mortgage and more. We will answer your questions and explain which program is right for you. With guidance from an NDCC professional, dedication and a little patience, you can eliminate your debt through a solution that is customized for you. |
