Debt Management Program

National Debt Crisis Center is a non-profit credit counseling service that offers a debt management program to help people manage debts and get back on track with creditors. One of our certified credit counselors will review your unsecured debt, such as Major Credit Cards, Department Store Cards, Medical Bills, or Loans that have no collateral or co-signers, and determine if your financial needs would be suited for a debt management program.

How Do I Qualify For A Debt Management Program?

In order to qualify for a debt management program, you must have a minimum of $2,000 unsecured debt, and 30 to 90 days behind on your monthly payments or in danger of falling behind, because of your situation. If you are “current” on all your bills—and just cannot make any headway—you may still qualify. Using a Debt Analyzer, the certified credit counselor can tell you how much you can save using a debt management program. Then our certified credit counselor will discuss your budget and debt-to-income ratio to make sure you’re able to meet your monthly payments on the debt management program.

Contact us online or call National Debt Crisis Center at 1-800-334-6797 to find out if debt management can help you!

How Does Debt Management Work?

Our debt management specialists contact your creditors and negotiate lower monthly payments, and reduce or eliminate credit card interest accrual depending on your creditors. We may be able to work with creditors to waive all late fees, all penalty fees and bring your accounts back to a “current status” after 3 months. Based on the total monthly payments, National Debt Crisis Center will consolidate all your unsecured debt into one monthly payment, which can be up to 50% off existing monthly payments. While you are on the debt management program, National Debt Crisis Center will disburse your monthly payment to your creditors ensuring that you meet your financial obligations and start you on the road to improving your credit.

Also, our credit counseling service will provide additional educational resources to help you with credit management, household budgeting and other money management tips. Typically most of our members are able to pay off their credit cards and other unsecured debt on debt management program in about 4 to 5 years.
